FCE teachers returned to school to a beautiful new teachers' lounge! Thank you to everybody who helped, but especially Mrs. Perry who worked so hard putting it all together, Mr. Burton for painting, and Mrs. Chesteen for setting up a coffee bar! We are so grateful!
School begins at French Camp Elementary on Thursday, August 4th. The first bell will ring at 7:20. The tardy bell will ring at 7:45. We are looking forward to the new year and can't wait to see all of you!

Staff from all elementary schools took part in a two day Elementary Computer Science Summer Institute training for the new computer science standards for the 22-23 school year.

Choctaw County 3rd Grade students scored the highest average in the entire State of Mississippi on the 3rd Grade Reading Test.
Out of 138 districts, Choctaw County ranks #1 with a 91.4% pass rate. We are extremely proud of our students and staff.

We are amped up about earning a $100,000 Learning Environment Grant through School Uplift, a free energy management program from @TVAEnergyRight and 4-County Electric Power Association. We’re grateful to both of these organizations for everything they have done to help make sure our classrooms are great places to work and learn.
FCE teachers and staff enjoyed a week full of treats for Teacher Appreciation! Mr. Burton and the PTO had something special planned for each day throughout the week. Several community partners also treated the teachers this week. Special thanks to Dakota Brasher with Alfa Insurance, Super Value, Tiny Blessings Daycare, Brent McKnight with Choctaw County EMS, Kids First, The Bank of Kilmichael, Choctaw County Chamber of Commerce, Glen Beard and Glen Blaine, and Julie Salley for all the extra treats for our staff throughout the week. It was a simply wonderful week celebrating an exceptional staff!
