
FCE fifth graders completed a sorting activity in Math to practice matching expressions with word problems and solutions. They did an awesome job!


After reading Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse, FCE 1st graders took on a new STEM challenge. The challenge was to create a teacher using only paper clips and play dough. They showed determination and creativity and conquered the challenge!



Sixth graders at FCE are perfecting their skills on finding text features in text and telling what text features add to texts.




FCE sixth graders are working hard on their mentor sentence for the week. This week’s sentence comes from the book The Golden Rule. On Wednesday, students find ways to revise the sentence to make it better! Way to go 6th graders!

FCE 1st graders completed their first coding challenge today. Using the book, Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse, they had to first sequence the events of the story, then program their robot to follow the correct order of events.

Mrs. Jackie, from the MS Museum of Natural Science came to visit FCE kindergarten today in order to wrap up their reptile unit. She brought along some cold blooded friends!

After reading, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, FCE 1st graders completed a cooperative STEM challenge to build a coconut tree for the letters A,B, and C.





FCE 1st graders started the school year off right!! We are all so excited to learn all we can!
